ECO TOURS AND EXCURSIONS PDF Print E-mail
Join us for a holiday or free time visit after your hunt.  Let your wife or family do a tour or excursion while you hunt or just visit the rest of this beautifull country while you are here.  Below you can look at some of the suggested excursions we reccommend for your programme.

PILANESBERG AND SUN CITY (2-3 DAYS)

Day one: We shall depart and drive to the Pilanesbeg National Park. You may then spend the whole day with your guide looking for animals and enjoying the tranquility of the scenery. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Pilanesberg centre or Bakubung. At 14:00 you will check into your chalet at either Manyane or Bakgatla camps. Chalets and fully furnished tents are available.
A night game drive in an open vehicle offers an opportunity to look for nocturnal animals and for other common animals. This game drive is offered at 17:30 in the winter and at 18:00 in the summer. Dinner will be provided at the camp restaurant after the night drive at 20:30.

Day two: Day two – An early morning game drive is on the schedule. Breakfast can then be enjoyed at the camp restaurant.
You may then spend the day with your guide looking for animals and enjoying the tranquility of the scenery. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Pilanesberg centre or Bakubung. Return to Johanneburg / Pretoria in the afternoon or stay for another night and visit Sun City before your return.
You are welcome to visit Sun City at any stage during your stay

KRUGER PARK AND MPUMALANGA PROVINCE (3 DAYS)

Day one: We shall start driving to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province at 08:00 . On route to the Park we shall stop for lunch at Milli’s or at the Rose Cottage in Dullstroom. We shall enter the Kruger National Park not later than 14:00. On route to your camp in the Kruger National Park you may have the opportunity to spot some African wildlife.  Your guide will check you into your accommodation in the Park and give you an opportunity to relax and shower before you will depart for a late afternoon game drive. Dinner will be enjoyed at the camp restaurant.

Day two: An early start will give us an opportunity to search for African wildlife. Breakfast will be enjoyed at your camp restaurant in the Kruger National Park. In addition to our search for African wildlife we shall be driving to various locations that range from riverine forest, semi desert areas, bushveld and more open grassy terrain. We shall return to our camp in the late afternoon where you may relax and enjoy your dinner in the restaurant.Tonight you may go on a night game drive. This drive has to be booked and confirmed at the time of the booking. The night game drive will be undertaken in an open vehicle with a powerful spotlight. The emphasis will be on looking for nocturnal animals and other animals that may also seen during the daytime.

Day three with Panorama option:
Energetic tourists may join us for an early morning game drive to a waterhole near the camp. Breakfast will be enjoyed at a restaurant on route back to Johannesburg / Pretoria.
We shall drive back to Johannesburg via Graskop. On this route we will visit the Lisbon and Berlin Waterfalls and stop in Graskop for Brunch. We shall also stop at the Blyde river canyon for spectacular views of the mountains and the Blyde River; Bourke’s Luck Potholes with it’s interesting rock formations; God’s Window for views of forever; the Lisbon and Berlin Waterfalls; and the Pinnacle. We shall arrive at our destination by 18:00.

CAPE TOWN AND PENINSULA (3-4 DAYS)

Day one: Stand on top of Table Mountain. This is one of the best known natural splendours on earth. It is an awe-inspiring, essential part of your visit. In the afternoon we shall visit the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront for a relaxed lunch.

Day two:
Today we shall go on a tour from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were held before South Africa became a democracy. In the afternoon we shall visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The Gardens are in a magnificent setting, surrounded by mountains. Kirstenbosch hosts many of South Africa's indigenous plants. It also hosts a special selection of desert plants.

Day three:
One of the most scenic marine drives in the world is on the agenda today. The Peninsula comes to an abrupt end with the highest sea cliffs in the world. Chapman's Peak Drive is great for view appreciation. Tiny African penguins can be seen when they come ashore to roost on the beach near some boulders. Cape Point is part of the Cape Peninsula National Park (which extends from Table Mountain to Cape Point). Many animals, especially zebra, baboons, eland and smaller buck can be seen within the reserve. In spring, displays of wild flowers and birds can enjoyed.

Day four:
The Cape is known for its world-class wineries. Some of these wineries are up to three centuries old. Others are very modern. Most of the Cape's wine lands are found on the slopes of the beautiful Boland mountains. You will have the opportunity to sample their products. We shall visit Franschoek where the French Huguenot settlers established a farming community in 1690. Then, Paarl with the big rock - Paarl Rock and on to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, founded in 1679 and renowned for its vineyards and orchards. Lunch will be at one of these fine and upmarket wine estates.
