This Eastern Cape farm is situated between the Karoo mountains near the historic town Middelburg Cape
The area
After arriving you are immediately engulfed by the beauty of the barren mountainside. Silence reigns over these thousands of hectares of vast wasteland, barren but rich with powerful landmarks reminiscent of the beauty of prehistoric times before the influence of man. Rugged and rocky canyons, towering mountains and golden grass flats demarcate the home of the Zebra, Rhebuck, Eland, Gemsbuck, Blackwildebeest, Springbuck, Blesbuck, Kudu, Hartebeest, Impala, Fallow Deer and the other majestic game of the plains like caracal, jackal and bush pigs.
Other things to do
The base camp also offers a walking trail and day/night game drives, accompanied by a professional guide.
For the more adventurous we offer the option of spending a night at our naturally formed cave.
Accommodation
Nothing has changed from time immemorial to this day here in the great hunting grounds of the famed Bushmen. The old farmhouse, rich in tradition and cradled at night by the Africa night sky, offers a hunting camp equipped with all that a hunter and trophy seeker might need. Under this blanket of stars your attention is drawn away from the cosy homely fireplace only by the hospitality of the people. This dramatic and beautiful wasteland with its immense open spaces, characteristic vegetation and exceptionally magnificent wildlife is a true reflection of paradise.
  
  
TRAVEL INFORMATION
When planning your safari this information might come in handy.
Duration
The best months for a safaris are from March through to October. The days are cool and comfortable with chilly to cold nights. The rest of the year is mild to warm. The duration of a hunting safari is determined mainly by the number and species required. Safaris are normally two weeks but shorter hunts are available on request. We recommend a minimum of five days. Short hunts or tours for businessmen can also be accommodated.
Health
First aid medical kit is provided for emergency situations. Arrange for the availability or bring all medication required by yourself. Our region is totally malaria free.
Clothing
Comfortable and well-worn safari brand clothes are necessary for daywear while warm clothing is necessary for early mornings and late evenings. We also recommend a hat, a good pair of worn in boots and a pair of binoculars.
Travel during safari
There are regular flights available to and from overseas destinations and Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth. International clients must be in possession of a passport and visa on entering South Africa. We will personally meet you at the airport from where we will transport you to Wildberg or your first safari destination. After completion of your safari we will personally see you to the airport or venue of your own choice. Chatered flights between safari areas may be arranged on request.
Firearms
A 7mm calibre rifle is suitable for most species up to the size of bigger antelope. A .375 H&H or heavier is more acceptable for larger animals and "The Big Five". Suitable firearms can be made available for hire by prior arrangements. With your firearms we recommend high quality ammunition.
Your firearm permit and proof of ownership from your own country must accompany you and a maximum of 200 rounds of ammunition will be allowed into South Africa. An import export firearm pirmit will be required. No semi or automatic guns will be allowed into South Africa.

- Telephone calls or faxes
- Rifle / Bow hire and ammunition
- Personal purchases and medical costs
- Additional costs due to client's change of plans during safari
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
- Deposit of the daily rates will confirm reservation - balance payable on arrival when completing government required agreement.
- Safaris are tailor-made to every client's specific requirements.
- Only cash or American Express traveller's cheques are excepted.
- Any animals shot, killed, wounded must be paid for in full.
- Prices are subject to change with notification.
- Insurance of personal effects is the responsibility of the client.
- For CITES App. 1 an import permit from your country is necessary to obtain the export permit from here.
- For CITES App. 2 an export permit from the RSA is required first.
- A temporary import/export permit for arms and ammunition must be obtained from customs at the port of entry and exit. (All firearms and annunition must be declared).
- If cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to arrival, deposit fees less expenses incurred will be refunded.
- The deposit fees are forfeited if the safari is cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival.
